Can Journalists Scour Facebook For News? Is It Newsworthy? Is It Breaking?

These questions came to mind when I saw Slate's recent post about Caroline Giuliani, who was a member of a Barack Obama support group on the social networking site Facebook. I'd be interested to hear what you think about the 6:01am facebook group departure time.

Doesn't it seem odd that Giuliani's daughter would be rummaging around on facebook in the wee hours of the morning?

Thanks for the read; as I said to Missy, I'm honored.

I think that 6:01 a.m. time indicates that it wasn't Caroline herself that was logged in to her Facebook profile at that time. Suspicious -- I'm not even up that early, and I commute more than an hour to work.
